Sorbents

Expandi Sorbents are an excellent tool for controlling leaks and spills, and contributes to maintaining control and safety during the storage and manipulation of fluids. Expandi’ sorbent products will also help you to meet and exceed the ISO 14001 classification of your company.

Four product families are available:

Universal – Maintenance: absorbs all fluids and spills and helps keep the work environment clean and safe.

Universal – Chemicals: Absorbs everything. The fibres are chemically neutral and do not react to the fluid. They are ideal for the control of hazardous and aggressive fluids.

Oil Only – Synthetic fibres: water repelling, oil absorbing products. The ideal solution for outdoor operations and for collection of oil spills on water. If the product is to be deployed for an extended period, the synthetic version is recommended.

Oil Only – Natural fibres: water repelling, oil absorbing products. The ideal solution for outdoor operation and for collection of oil spills on water. In addition are more cost effective than the synthetic version.

Sorbent booms

The Expandi Sorbent Booms are an excellent solution to contain and absorb small oil spills. The booms are available in special treated cotton or polypropylene fibres. Effective quick couplings allow rapid connection of sections to desired lengths. These booms are inexpensive and to be considered as disposable. Time consuming, costly and unpleasant cleaning is not necessary.

Skirted sorbent booms

The Expandi Skirted Sorbent Booms are an excellent solution for smaller spills. The skirted sorbent booms contain and absorb the spill. The skirt stops the oil from escaping under the boom. The booms are available in special treated cotton or polypropylene fibres. Effective quick couplings allow rapid connection of sections to desired lengths. These booms are inexpensive and to be considered as disposable. Time consuming, costly and unpleasant cleaning is not necessary.

Tar ball catcher booms

The Expandi Tar ball Catcher Skirted sorbent booms are an excellent solution for spills ranging from oil shine to scattered tar balls. They have been designed with inner hydrophobic sorbent core, and inner floatation element to keep always positive the freeboard of the boom even when they are completely saturated. Besides they have a 3D mesh to trap and retain the floating tar balls. The booms are available in special treated cotton or polypropylene fibres.
